Christopher A. Faria was called by Forestgate Presbyterian Church to become their associate pastor for church planting. Chris recently retired from the United States Army after 20-plus years of service. His assignments included Fort Jackson, SC, Korea, Fort Bragg Special Warfare Center Regimental Chaplain, Kuwait. He deployed in 2003 to Iraq as the Regimental Chaplain for the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment. Chris’ last assignment was as the first Command Chaplain for the Army Space and Missile Defense Command. His awards include the Bronze Star. Chris holds a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary, an M.A. from Columbia International Seminary, and holds an earned Ph.D. from Whitefield Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Covenant Theological seminary. He is married to Brenda and they have one daughter, Ana.
